Anti-First Amendment S.1 Passes Congress

Anti-First Amendment S.1 Passes Congress

It was bad enough George Bush Senior found it necessary to blame bloggers for creating what he deems an “adversarial and ugly climate” (never mind his particular bit of ugliness in Iraq more than a decade ago, eventually resulting in the murder of more than a million people), last month we had the Manchurian candidate, John McCain, introducing legislation “that would fine blogs up to $300,000 for offensive statements, photos and videos posted by visitors on comment boards, effectively nixing the open exchange of ideas on the Internet, providing a lethal injection for unrestrained opinion, and acting as the latest attack tool to chill freedom of speech on the world wide web,” as Paul Joseph Watson writes for Prison Planet.

Since Watson wrote his piece about McCain’s anti-First Amendment bill, Richard A. Viguerie has warned that Congress is attempting the silence bloggers and other critics of the government. “We have the First Amendment right to speak and urge citizens to contact Washington—without the intimidation inherent in federal regulation of our activities.”

Of course, as a Republican partisan, Viguerie concentrates on Pelosi and the Democrats while quite naturally ignoring Bush and the neocons. But even so, his warning about Section 220 of S. 1, a lobbying reform bill that went before the Senate should not go unheeded—it will “require grassroots causes, even bloggers, who communicate to 500 or more members of the public on policy matters, to register and report quarterly to Congress the same as the big K Street lobbyists. Section 220 would amend existing lobbying reporting law by creating the most expansive intrusion on First Amendment rights ever. For the first time in history, critics of Congress will need to register and report with Congress itself,” according to Viguerie.

It’s comical, in a perverse sort of way, that Democrats and Republican—turn them upside down, they all look the same—are “bitterly split on … how to clean up the scandal-rocked U.S. Congress,” according to the Washington Post. Never mind that Congress is basically a whorehouse of corporate and political special interests and such a bill would not touch most of them.

Republicans are not opposed to the “bipartisan bill to revamp the Senate’s ethics and lobbying rules” because it is a slap in the face to the First Amendment, but rather because they want to include a “line item veto” provision that would further consolidate Bush’s unitary decidership. “Attaching an unrelated measure to this bipartisan bill is an obvious attempt to derail passage of the strongest ethics reform legislation,” complained Democrats Russ Feingold and Barack Obama, the presidential wanna-be.

As noted here last week, Democrats made sure to set up a special loophole, called an “ethics exemption,” for their friends. “A major loophole in the Democrats’ recently unveiled ethics package will allow non-profit arms of controversial lobbying organizations to fund travel excursions for members of Congress,” Raw Story reported earlier this month. Pelosi and crew designed this “loophole” specifically for AIPAC and the Aspen Institute, a Rockefeller and Carnegie globalist crime syndicate.

Not that opposition matters. “The Senate, responding to voter frustration with corruption and special interest influence in Washington, on Thursday overwhelmingly approved far-reaching ethics and lobbying reform legislation,” reports Time. “Under the bill, passed 96-2, senators will give up gifts and free travel from lobbyists, pay more for travel on corporate jets and make themselves more accountable for the pet projects they insert into bills.”

No mention here of the fact “Pelosi & Company’s lobbying legislation ‘reform’ would define political communications to and even between citizens as ‘lobbying.’ This turns the definition of lobbying on its head and is in violation of the First Amendment,” according to Viguerie. “Moreover, their legislation would treat grassroots activists more harshly than the K Street lobbyists and the big corporations and unions. They get loopholes that the smallest critics using the Internet wouldn’t enjoy. Communicating to as few as 500 people would trigger the registration and quarterly reporting to Congress…. In truth, the grassroots legislation would help protect corruption in Washington by silencing critics and diminishing the ability of grassroots causes to communicate with the general public.”

But the Democrats, portrayed as our saviors during the last election cycle, are not finished. “As the new Democratic majority continues its 100-hour legislative blitz in the U.S. House, one Democrat has quietly reintroduced controversial legislation that would give the federal government more authority over so-called ‘hate crimes,’” the Cybercast News Service reported on January 16. “This is the most dangerous legislation ever to come before Congress,” warns Rev. Ted Pike. “It leads directly to an end of free speech. Once free speech is gone, there is little to prevent the loss of all our other freedoms. The new Democrat-controlled Congress has all the votes it needs to quickly run this Orwellian bill through committee in the House and Senate and pass it.”

In 1936, Nikolai Bukharin crafted the Soviet Constitution, which promised freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of the press, freedom of religious worship, and the inviolability of individuals, their home and the privacy of their correspondence. Stalin claimed to support the constitution, even as he arrested thousands of dissidents opposed to the government. In total, millions of people were imprisoned and killed, most of them for opposing Stalin, including Nikolai Bukharin, the founder of the Soviet Constitution.

In America, the government claims to uphold the Constitution and the Bill of Rights while passing legislation designed to curtail if not eliminate our liberty. Is it possible, in the months ahead, as both Pike and Viguerie warn, the government will, under the direction of a Democrat Congress, begin a momentous process that may eventually result in the sort of massive crimes Stalin inflicted on the people of the Soviet Union?

Bloggers Who Criticize Government May Face Prison

Bloggers Who Criticize Government May Face Prison
Bill would allow rounding up and imprisoning of non-registered political writers

Steve Watson
Thursday, January 18, 2007

You'd be forgiven for thinking that it was some new restriction on free speech in Communist China. But it isn't. The U.S. Government wants to force bloggers and online grassroots activists to register and regularly report their activities to Congress in the latest astounding attack on the internet and the First Amendment.

Richard A. Viguerie, Chairman of, a website dedicated to fighting efforts to silence grassroots movements, states:

"Section 220 of S. 1, the lobbying reform bill currently before the Senate, would require grassroots causes, even bloggers, who communicate to 500 or more members of the public on policy matters, to register and report quarterly to Congress the same as the big K Street lobbyists. Section 220 would amend existing lobbying reporting law by creating the most expansive intrusion on First Amendment rights ever. For the first time in history, critics of Congress will need to register and report with Congress itself."

In other words Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats may redefine the meaning of lobbying in order that political communications to and even between citizens falls under the same legislation.

Under current law any 'lobbyist" who 'knowingly and willingly fails to file or report." quarterly to the government faces criminal charges including a possible jail term of up to one year.

The amendment is currently on hold.

This latest attack on bloggers comes hot on the heels of Republican Senator John McCain's proposal to introduce legislation that would fine blogs up to $300,000 for offensive statements, photos and videos posted by visitors on comment boards.

McCain's proposal is presented under the banner of saving children from sexual predators and encourages informants to shop website owners to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, who then pass the information on to the relevant police authorities.

Despite a total lack of any evidence that children are being victimized en mass by bloggers or people who leave comments on blog sites, it seems likely that the proposal will become legislation in some form. It is well known that McCain has a distaste for his blogosphere critics, causing a definite conflict of interest where any proposal to restrict blogs on his part is concerned.

In recent months, a chorus of propaganda intended to demonize the Internet and further lead it down a path of strict control has spewed forth from numerous establishment organs:

During an appearance with his wife Barbara on Fox News last November, George Bush senior slammed Internet bloggers for creating an "adversarial and ugly climate."

- The White House's own recently de-classified strategy for "winning the war on terror" targets Internet conspiracy theories as a recruiting ground for terrorists and threatens to "diminish" their influence.

- The Pentagon recently announced its effort to infiltrate the Internet and propagandize for the war on terror.

- In a speech last month, Homeland Security director Michael Chertoff identified the web as a "terror training camp," through which "disaffected people living in the United States" are developing "radical ideologies and potentially violent skills." Chertoff pledged to dispatch Homeland Security agents to local police departments in order to aid in the apprehension of domestic terrorists who use the Internet as a political tool.

- A landmark legal case on behalf of the Recording Industry Association of America and other global trade organizations seeks to criminalize all Internet file sharing of any kind as copyright infringement, effectively shutting down the world wide web - and their argument is supported by the U.S. government.

- A landmark legal ruling in Sydney goes further than ever before in setting the trap door for the destruction of the Internet as we know it and the end of alternative news websites and blogs by creating the precedent that simply linking to other websites is breach of copyright and piracy.

- The European Union, led by former Stalinist and potential future British Prime Minister John Reid, has also vowed to shut down "terrorists" who use the Internet to spread propaganda.

- The EU also recently proposed legislation that would prevent users from uploading any form of video without a license.

- We have also previously exposed how moves are afoot to clamp down on internet neutrality and even to designate a highly restricted new form of the internet known as Internet 2.

Make no mistake, the internet, one of the greatest outposts of free speech ever created is under constant attack by powerful people who cannot operate within a society where information flows freely and unhindered. All these moves mimic stories we hear every week out of State Controlled Communist China, where the internet is strictly regulated and virtually exists as its own entity away from the rest of the web.

The phrases "Chinese government" and "Mao Zedong" have even been censored on China's official Web sites because they are "Sensitive phrases". Are we to allow our supposedly Democratic governments to implement the same type of restrictive policies here?

Under section 220 of the lobbying reform bill, could be required to seek a license in order to bring this information to you. IF we were granted a license we would then have to report our activities to the government four times per year in order to bring you this information. Does that sound more like free speech or more like totalitarianism?

Do we have what it would take??

The Next President
From Dick Eastman

Here is something to think long and hard about.
The next president is going to deprive a criminal network of hundreds of billionaire mass-murderer war-profiteers of hundreds of billions of dollars and these fat cats are not going to like it...these are fat cats who own Congress, fat cats who own the media, fat cats who head international organized crime, fat cats who control the CIA, Mossad, MI6 as their private organizations; fat cats who have, in addition, armies of their own, secret agents of their own, and their own special forces; fat cats who control the monetary system and who are the creditors holding the IOUs of the federal government and are owed the debt of every household, state, country and municipal government in this country; fat cats who are masters of unspeakable power; fat cats used to having their way and being immune to law or any moral authority -- remember these fat cats coldly conducted the Sept. 11, 2001 false-flag attack to get the wars they wanted and the police-state power they wanted.

The next president knows that both he and the men he picks to join his administration will be marked men. Never forget that if multi-billionaire fat cats want someone dead they can, without much pain at all, pay thousands of people a million or two million dollars each, one to kill that person - and the rest to make sure that everyone, including family and friends and police force and journalists, forgets all about it. Many of the world's billionaires kill people for their own sexual gratification, or to settle their own petty scores -- and they think nothing of it, because their wealth makes above law, answerable to no one, and safe from any possible revenge.

Remember to -- and if you didn't know it I'm telling you now -- the global elites control weather using weaponized weather modification to create droughts or heat waves, floods or crop killing frosts for their own economic or geo-political gain. They control biological weapons -- the anthrax attack that shut down Congress after 9/11 was just a sample of what they can do. The are capable of crippling modern economies with information warfare. And they have the ability to put the United States into bankruptcy at any time simply by presenting notes payable on demand.

And the next president will take office with not one tenth of one percent of the population knowing what he will be up against or what extraordinary measures he will have even the remotest chance of fulfilling the hopes and expectations of the people who elected him.

However, the next president, in order to free the American people from the corruption and slavery imposed by these self-appointed masters of the world, will have to speedily use the power to issue executive orders to counter evil even more vigorously and effectively than the puppet presidents have used them to create evil. He must disarm his mortal enemy immediately. (which will be hard, because the mortal enemy will know he is coming.) He will nationalize, he will federalize, he will use the Patriot Act he will kick ass...and he will most certainly be called a dictator and a Hitler.

The next president will shut down the monopoly media for the sake of national security, declaring it an agency of hostile foreign powers and pronouncing it in violation of anti-trust and a conspiracy to monopolize and therefore crush political expression in this country for anti-social purposes. He will break up the media and require local ownership of TV and radio stations in every town. and he will do so amid cries that he is violating free speech -- as if the billionaires haven't been heard enough, as if it isn't the people's turn to be heard for once.

Going far beyond Kennedy or Lincoln this president will federalize the 'Federal' Reserve and erase all of the US debt owed to the federal reserve (a sizable portion of the total US debt). And he will issue new treasury money on which the country does not have to pay interest.

To meet the financial power of the global money power this president will use the power of government to nullify debt owed to criminal persons and financial institutions. He will instruct the justice department -- after replacing most of its personnel -- to bring charges against the perpetrators of the high-finance looting of the people of the united states. Bribery charges and conspiracy charges will be brought against those who were once the most powerful people in the country. The Council on Foreign Relations and the American members of the Trilateral Commission and Bilderberg group will be brought up on charges.

And this president will call on the people of the world to support his effort to destroy world enslavement by international crime.

And there will be a showdown. And this president will discover that the military as an instrument under the control of the president no longer exists -- that it has been so completely sabotaged by previous administrations (Clinton and Bush) that it is no longer reliable -- that planes will crash themselves, that computer systems will fail or target the president's own forces.

The next president will be called a dictator and an anti-Semite.

The next president will re-regulate derivatives and foreign trade -- and will manage to do so even though the Jewish staffers who write the laws that Congress approves and who work for the money power in New York will refuse to craft the legislation.

The next president will order the immediate roundup and deportation of the 30 million illegal aliens the mega billionaires have invited and ordered into America to bleed it, desecrate and rape it, and plunder its soul down to third world status. He will roll back and evict all 'anchor' babies for the past 25 years...and pull that treasonous knife out of the back of America. The next president will be called a racist and a bigot.

This president will meet and overcome a resistance and sabotage by the entire bureaucracy. He will fill positions on the recommendations of people he doesn't know and can't trust -- and to find the honest and untainted men he needs he will have to draw from places far from Washington DC, far from the East Coast and far from California and Florida -- and these men will necessarily be green and unsophisticated and will be ridiculed by the ever hostile former-ruling class.

And the billionaires will hire agitators and they will apply economic and political pressure to have this president impeached -- they will call him a dictator -- and the billionaires will sabotage the economy so that people can't get food or fuel or pay their bills -- and the US will not be able to meet its foreign debt obligations and the billionaires will organize the nations of the world to cut off the United States and starve them until the President is overthrown -- this President will know how Chavez feels, how Saddam felt.

One women on one of the progressive lists I post to (until recently) said: "I don't care who the next president is as long as she is a woman and is experienced."

Well, I have news for that woman and for all women and men. The next president is not going to be Hillary Clinton. It is not going to be Omamba Bamba or whatever his name is. It will not be some Libertarian who thinks that because he has read Milton Friedman on perfect competition that he understands the world of government-owning racist slave-seeking anarcho-capitalists. It will not be some programmed Green who thinks that the biggest problem we face is Greenland becoming green again with all that warmth and carbon dioxide. It will not be that timid shadow-populist Ron Paul with absolutely not a dollar behind him and a GOP party 100 percent against him. It won't be phony bait-and-switch anti-war candidate Dennis Kucinich. It will not be the cardboard grinning buffoon of any of the existing third-parties funded and promoted by the plutocracy to divide the people's vote. It will not be some so-called progressive whose every idea was put their by the Zionist Jew Trotsky who preached 'from each according to his ability' but was in reality a hoodwinking Jewish-supremacist Zionist seeking to enslave the world to his delusional kind.

The next president is going to be a man greater than George Washington or Jefferson or Lincoln -- greater because of what he will undertake, because of who and what he will fight and defeat, and because of all the good in the world he will make possible.

That is he will if you believe that such a man is possible, that only such a man will meet the need we face, that only such a man must be supported.

You see you have to create a place in your minds for this next president to fill. You have to make a place for such a man in your conception of the United States and of the future. You have to think in terms of what such a president would need to survive in office -- what kind of backing from the people -- what sacrifices and battles would have to be fought by the people for such a president to be able to carry out the reforms, the law enforcement and the leading of a nation out of a hell that the devils ruling that hell will make a thousand times more hellish in their efforts to keep it captive.

You want this president? Then let me ask you -- what must a girl do to marry a tall handsome doctor? rely on luck? Isn't there something a nation must do to get the right kind of president? Don't you have to eat, drink and sleep the right kind of man -- know what you are looking for, know what will fit the bill, allow for what it will take.

What has to happen in this country before we can get a president like that? Because let me tell you -- if the masses aren't ready to huddle protectively around such a president, to hold him up, to fight for him -- then you aren't going to get him, or if you do, he won't last 10 days.

Do you blame the world for hating US???

Watching this video makes me sick on many levels.. But I realize how far gone the US has become, and how much apathy there really is towards the rest of the world..

The media has done a very fine job in brainwashing our minds.. The TV has done its job in filling our heads with useless bullshit, to the point where we know nothing at all.. And it is just a joke to the people, just another funny skit like the ones found on the "Tonight Show".. However, this ignorance has caused the deaths of millions of people in the Middle East over the last 15 years, as well as countless other places over the last 50 years.. Our younger 'educated' generation holds little hope for any future besides watching "American Idol", or shopping at the mall..

Little wonder the world hates US...

The US population does not deserve the liberty and freedom in which they dream that they still have...

It Is Time to Rebel Against King George

It Is Time to Rebel Against King George
by Mick Youther

In a televised address to his subjects (1/10/07), King George proclaimed that, after weeks of painstaking consultation and holiday parties, he had decided to increase the number of American troops in Iraq. He knows the Joint Chiefs of Staff and a majority of the military commanders on the ground oppose this strategy. More importantly, he knows that a majority of the American people and their representatives in Congress believe we should be bringing troops home from Iraq--instead of sending more. King George knows all this; but he doesn't care, because he is The Decider.

As bad as it is, this further escalation of the War on Iraq is just the latest symptom of a much more deadly disease that has afflicted the United States of America.

"The endless Iraq war is decreasingly about Iraq and increasingly about the U.S. Constitution. ... [Bush's decision to escalate the war] is based on his flawed and dangerous theory of the "unitary presidency," a theory under which, once war is declared, the president as commander in chief can ignore constitutional checks and balances, disregard the bill of rights, suspend accountability, and concentrate dictatorial power in his own hands." --Former Senator and Presidential candidate Gary Hart, HuffingtonPost, 1/9/07

Aided and abetted by a Republican-controlled Congress, the Bush Administration has systematically undermined and eliminated our Constitutional protections--one by one--all in the name of national security and keeping us safe from Islamic boogeymen. One of the last major pieces of legislation passed by the Rubberstamp Republicans (before we threw the bums out) was to drive a final stake through the heart of our Constitution and give the President near-dictatorial powers.

"On Sept. 29, 2006, the Congress of the United States passed what can be termed 'The US Enabling Act.' It is the equivalent of the Act by the same name passed by the German Reichstag on March 23, 1933 [that] gave the German Chancellor, Adolf Hitler, the power to over-ride the protections for freedom and liberty written into the German (Weimar) Constitution ... The US version gives the President the power to over-ride Articles I, II, V and VI and Amendments I, IV, V, VI and VIII of the US Constitution if he determines that it is necessary to do so to protect the nation from terrorism..." --Steven Jonas, Contributing Author for The Political Junkies and columnist for, 10/1/06

For the past six years, the Rubberstamp Republican Congress has allowed the Bush Administration to write the laws, interpret the laws, and execute the laws. As anyone who has ever taken a civic class knows, this is not how the United States government is supposed to operate. The result is that the United States now has a President/King that believes that our laws and our Constitution do not apply to him.

"Laws are just whips to keep the common herd in line; they don't apply to the elite, as Bush's own lawyers and minions have openly asserted in the memos, signing statements, court cases and presidential decrees asserting the "inherent power" of the "unitary executive" to override any law he pleases." --Chris Floyd,, 1/9/07

"[Bush] asserts that his power as the nation's commander in chief entitles him to overrule or ignore bills sent to him by Congress for his signature. Behind this claim is a doctrine of the "unitary executive", which argues that the president's oath of office endows him with an independent authority to decide what a law means." -- Martin Kettle, The Guardian, 6/17/06

The American people did their part in the 2006 election. They voted against the Bush Republicans, the Bush Wars, and the "unitary Presidency". Now it is up to the new Congress to let this President know that he is not a King. He is a public servant--the head of one co-equal branch of government--bound to obey the Constitution, our international treaties, and the laws of our land.

To do this, Congress is going to have to do a lot more than whining and passing non-binding resolutions. Bush is like the "Terminator": "[He] can't be reasoned with, [He] can't be bargained with. [He] doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear. And [He] absolutely will not stop." how does Congress stop him?

They can start by growing a spine and quit saying, "He's the Commander-in-Chief. There is nothing we can do." There are lots of things they can and should do. They need to rescind the Authorization to Use Military Force given to Bush after the attacks of September 11, 2001--along with every other power and/or authority that Congress may have granted him for his so-called War on Terror. Bush has proved, repeatedly, that he cannot be trusted with any kind of power and that he is unfit to be our Commander in Chief (having done far more harm to our military than the "enemy" could possibly do).

If the Founding Fathers found it wise to give Congress the sole authority to declare war, it is hard to believe that Congress cannot declare the end to a war. They should not hesitate to cut off funding for Mr. Bush's wars--except for what is needed to bring the troops home. The American people know the difference between supporting the troops and sacrificing them in a lost cause.

Congress should also dismantle the web of unconstitutional laws, signing statements, and legal mumbo-jumbo that have congealed together into the abomination called the "unitary presidency". There is widespread agreement that many of these laws, enacted to expand the powers of the President, are unconstitutional and will eventually be struck down by the courts. Until then, though, King George will continue to wield his newfound powers to spy, torture, kidnap and murder around the globe. Congress must act to reinstate the U.S. Constitution as the supreme law of the land.

This means a Constitutional confrontation between Congress and the Bush Administration is inevitable, and the sooner--the better. The King has already dispatched warships to the Persian Gulf to threaten and provoke Iran, and according to retired Air Force Colonel Sam Gardiner, who taught strategy at the Air Force college, the Naval College and the National War College:

"[T]he decision has been made and military operations are under way [in Iran].", 4/18/06

"I think the plan's been picked: bomb the nuclear sites in Iran. It's a terrible idea, it's against US law and it's against international law, but I think they've decided to do it." --The Nation, 9/21/06

The stage is being set and Iran has been cast as the villain. The war drums are beating. Once again, the Bush Administration is leading us to the brink, and America is just one big lie or "incident" away from another senseless war.

Now is the time for the Democrats and Republicans in Congress to unite in rebellion against King George--before it is too late.
