In regard to Earth, it is the humans that reside in the MAIN GSC, that is in geo-stationary orbit around the Earth, in the dark phase of the moon. This has been the reason for most, if not all of shuttle flights, and now the 'foam' problem is just an excuse to stop the program, just like many other things, it was made to happen, to cause a desired reaction. You just thought science fiction was fiction!!!
